What is the Asteroid Occultation Mode ?

Your Unistellar telescope has been designed as an extremely valuable citizen science tool. When an asteroid passes in front of a star, it blocks temporarily its light. By observing these events, scientists all over the world have been able to assess the shape and size of asteroids. Our occultation mode allows you to join this research and improve it on an unprecedented scale.

Get alerts when an occultation event occurs, watch it with your eVscope, send these data to scientists and you’ll make the world more informed and aware of asteroids.

Check this page out to read a more accurate description of occultation and how you will contribute. And if you haven't joined our Citizen Science Community yet, feel free to do so.
