How to Observe an Object That Is Not Listed in the Catalog With Its Ra/Dec Coordinates?

Sometimes, you may want to observe an object that is not listed in the catalog. In this case, you can use the Ra/Dec or Alt/Az coordinates of the object you want to observe to automatically point the telescope at it.

First, make sure that your telescope orientation is done : How to Do the Telescope’s Orientation?

Go to the observation page. Once your telescope is connected to the app, you can reach the observation page from the Homepage

Tap on the “Watch” buton to go to the observation page.

The observation page can also be reached from the Catalog, Science and the Gallery page. There is a "Watch" button at the bottom right of each page.

Once on the observation page, swipe right to access the Move mode or tap on the "Move" button.

Then tap on .

A panel will open where you can either fill the Ra/Dec coordinates or Alt/Az position. 

Once you have entered the coordinates, tap on the "Move“ button to start a go-to toward the coordinates you entered.
