Kickstarter contributors get a free subscription to the database (night sky and terrestrial database) as long as their ENVISION binoculars are working. Enjoy the full night and day functionality of ENVISION AR binoculars without having to worry about a subscription.

SMART SCOUTING MODE

When you look through the binoculars, contextual information appears dynamically in your field of vision. It's as if a map were superimposed on reality. Your perception of the environment becomes much clearer and more detailed.

GUIDED NAVIGATION MODE

Using the app, ask the binoculars to guide you to various points of interest. Specify the site of your choice, or let the app make suggestions based on your time and location. Discover the wonders of the heavens.

TARGET SHARING

Lock the target you're pointing at and pass the binoculars to your friends: they'll guide them precisely to the designated objective.

ADVANCED COMPASS & DETAILED INFORMATION

To display altitude and azimuth in real time in your field of vision, simply activate Advanced Compass mode.

FUNCTIONING

TECHNICAL PRESENTATION OF ENVISION BINOCULARS

1. OPTICAL SYSTEM :

  • Superior optics: ENVISION combines a classic pair of high-quality binoculars with a sophisticated augmented reality (AR) system. Developed in collaboration with Nikon, they are equipped with top-of-the-range lenses and prisms to produce sharp, clear images.
  • AR projection: The right-hand side of the binoculars features a sophisticated augmented reality projection system. This system projects contextual information onto the optical path to superimpose AR data onto the real-world view.
  •

2. INTEGRATION OF AUGMENTED REALITY

  • High-brightness, high-contrast projection system: the AR system uses a high-brightness, high-contrast micro-screen to ensure that the information superimposed on the natural optical image is always perfectly visible, whatever the ambient light conditions.
  • Field-of-view fusion: AR data is projected into an eyepiece and the brain fuses information from both eyes to create a smooth, natural AR experience after a short adaptation period.
    •

3. PRECISION ORIENTATION SYSTEM

  • GPS and inertial measurement units (IMU): The binoculars access your phone's GPS position and are equipped with IMU to deliver precise positioning and orientation data.
  • Real-time data processing: The system receives topographical and cartographic data via your phone's Bluetooth connection, enabling it to overlay AR information precisely according to the user's location and the direction in which he or she is looking.

4. DATABASE CONNECTIVITY

  • Extensive cartographic database: ENVISION binoculars are connected to a database containing billions of topographic nodes and millions of cartographic elements (mountains, hills, trails, landmarks and springs), as well as celestial objects, including stars and galaxies.
  • On-line and off-line access: Users can access this database with or without a connection: information remains accessible, even in the most remote areas.
