In just 2 minutes, our telescopes can reveal the colorful nuances of 300,000 stars in the Hercules Cluster and bring to life the richly hued gas clouds of the Trifid Nebula, showcasing their true chemical composition.
You can learn more about the Vivid Vision Technology (VVT) in the following article: What Is the Vivid Vision Technology?
Important: the Vivid Vision Technology is only available on newer telescopes that have the processing power to support these enhancements (eQuinox 2, eVscope 2, Odyssey and Odyssey Pro).
Once a go-to is successful and the Enhanced Vision is activated (How to Use Enhanced Vision? (Dynamic Signal Amplification)), the Vivid Vision Technology algorithms will automatically start to be applied to your capture after around 2–3 minutes. A colorful border will appear to indicate that Vivid Vision technology is active and enabled.
Lagoon Nebula - Vivid Vision Technology ON.
The Vivid Vision Technology will improve the image continuously until you stop Enhanced Vision (Dynamic Signal Amplification).
Lagoon Nebula - Vivid Vision Technology OFF.
You can choose to turn on Vivid Vision Technology automatically while observing, when available, by selecting the relevant option in the settings on your observation page. The observation page settings can be accessed via the Settings menu, then the Observation Page category.
You can save your images with or without Vivid Vision Technology activated at any time of your observation (How to Save Your Capture?).
Note: It is not possible to adjust or change the colors produced by Vivid Vision Technology during live observation. Users who wish to modify the color appearance can do so manually after saving the image, using the "Edit" mode or external editing tools.
Note: Vivid Vision Technology only applies to stars, star clusters, nebulae, and galaxies. It doesn't apply to the Sun, Moon, or planets supported by the Enhanced Vision for Planets mode.
Note: Vivid Vision Technology does not apply to RAW files.
