The Location settings (formerly in the Visible Sky Area Settings) can be accessed from the Settings menu , then the Location category.
Your location is used to calculate which objects are visible in the sky and to provide you with accurate observation recommendations.
Two location modes are available:
Use phone location: This mode automatically uses your phone’s GPS. The app must have access to your location, and your device’s GPS must be enabled to use this mode. You can tap Refresh my location to update it.
Custom location: This mode allows you to manually set your observation location. You can either select a point on a map or manually enter your latitude and longitude. This feature can be useful if you are observing from a location where GPS data is scarce or unavailable.
