Can I Add a Filter in Front of the Sensor?

Follow

At this time, the only official UNISTELLAR filter available is the Smart Solar Filter.

Installing a third-party filter on the EXPERT Range (EQUINOX and EVSCOPE) is possible. However, please keep in mind that using filters troubles the collimation. Adding a filter to your camera is at your own risk. In case of damage or if you used a filter and we discover your fingerprints on the camera upon inspection, our warranty will not cover your unit. Our Customer Care Team is not trained to use those filters, so we are unable to support you if you choose to use them.

Installing a 3rd party filter on the ODYSSEY and ODYSSEY PRO is not possible.

Please keep in mind that we do not test third-party filters with our image processing algorithms, and you may experience unexpected behavior when you observe with them.

Note: There is no UV/IR filter in front of the sensor of our telescope, we are using our image processing algorithms to get the best results possible while observing the night sky or the Sun. It is not possible to use a Barlow lens with our telescopes, because the sensor is already integrated into the product.
