We recommend the following temperature range for your eVscope or eQuinox:
- storage: -15°C (5°F) -> +60°C (140°F) (recharge your battery regularly if storage > 2 months)
- storage and recharge: 10°C (50°F) -> +40°C (104°F)
- observation and recharge: 10°C (50°F)-> +40°C (104°F)
- observation: -10°C (14°F) -> +40°C (104°F)
The eVscope's performance will be optimized if its mirror reaches thermal balance. If the temperature is below 0°C, we recommend turning on your eVscope and getting it out at least 15 minutes (30 will be better) before you start observing. While using your Unistellar telescope in a very cold environment, we recommend covering it to provide relative insulation. The main effect of the cold will be a faster draining of the battery.
