When you first launch the app, several permission pop-ups will appear. In order to control your instrument and save your images without interruption, grant the following permissions in the order listed:
1 Location
- Tap on Location.
- When you see “Allow UNISTELLAR to use your location?”, tap “Allow While Using App”.
2 Bluetooth
- Tap on Bluetooth.
- When you see “Allow UNISTELLAR to find Bluetooth devices?”, tap “Allow”.
3 Local Network
- Tap on Local Network.
- When you see “Allow UNISTELLAR to find devices on local networks?”, tap “Allow”.
4 Notifications
- Tap on Notifications.
- When you see “Unistellar would like to send you notifications”, tap “Allow”.
- Although this permission is recommended to keep you informed, it is not mandatory.
5 Photos
- When the app requests access to your photo library, choose 'Allow full access'.
- This final pop-up only appears the first time you try to save to the gallery. You can pre-empt it by opening the Gallery tab and granting access there.
Following this sequence ensures smooth control of your Unistellar instrument and full access to all features.
If you select the wrong setting by mistake, you can adjust it by going to your device settings, scrolling down to the list of apps, tapping on the Unistellar app and changing the relevant option, as shown below.
You need to grant full access to your photos; otherwise, you'll keep getting an error message that you need a settings change.
