Note: To avoid interference during your stargazing sessions, we recommend setting a password for your telescope's Wi-Fi.
How to create a password
To set your telescope's Wi-Fi password, log in and go to your telescope's settings—either from the Settings menu or the Instrument button
.
Then tap Telescope Wi-Fi settings.
Enter your password in the dedicated password field and click Save. The number of characters must be between 8 and 63. Once the password is saved, it is no longer displayed.
How to reset the password
Turn your telescope on, then click the on/off button 10 times (half a second each) to reset your network settings. The LED will turn purple for a few seconds and then return to red (or blue, depending on your preferences) once the network settings have been reset.
How to change your password
Connect to your telescope. In the Settings Menu, tap on your instrument and then Telescope Wi-Fi settings. Type your new password in the dedicated password field and save it.
Note: Once your Wi-Fi password is created, you will need to use it only once to connect new devices to your telescope (just like your home Wi-Fi). We recommend creating a password to prevent strangers from connecting to your telescope during star parties and to improve your observation experience.
