How to Set My Telescope’s Wi-Fi Password?

Follow

Since version V2.3 of the Unistellar App, we have upgraded the security of your telescope connection with the option to create a Wi-Fi password for additional protection.

How to create a password:

Connect to your telescope like usual. In the Settings Menu of the Unistellar App, go to the Instrument tab and then Network settings. Create your password in the dedicated password field and save it. The number of characters must be between 8 and 63. Once the password is saved, it is not displayed anymore.

How to reset the password:

Turn your telescope on and click 10 times on the on/off button (half a second x 10) to reset your network settings. The LED will become purple for a few seconds and will turn back to red once the network setting has been reset.

How to change your password:

Connect to your telescope. In the Settings Menu of the Unistellar App, go to the Instrument tab and then Network settings. Type your new password in the dedicated password field and save it.

Note : Once your Wi-Fi password is created you will need to use it only one time to connect new devices to your telescope (just like your home Wi-Fi). We recommend creating a password to avoid strangers connecting to your telescope during star parties and improve your observation experience.
