Can I Use Any Other Telescopes I Already Own to Join The UNISTELLAR Citizen Science Programs?

In most cases, no, our Citizen Science Programs are calculated, implemented, and analyzed by our Science Team specifically for the UNISTELLAR telescopes.

Each program or science mission is based on even/homogeneous technical settings, which allow us to work on the gathered metadata using specific algorithms. The data is collected by our proprietary software via the UNISTELLAR App. Since our app cannot control your telescopes, the data cannot be collected by our servers.

In the case of our UNITE exoplanets program, you may be able to contribute to exoplanet missions if you are able to process your own data. Please reach out to citizenscience@unistellaroptics.com if you are interested in using a non-UNISTELLAR telescope to participate.
