ENVISION binoculars can be used as regular binoculars without connecting to a smartphone. However, to access their augmented reality features, you need to connect them to the UNISTELLAR app.
Follow the steps below to get started.
Before using your ENVISION binoculars for the first time, make sure they are fully charged. You will likely also need to update the UNISTELLAR app and your binoculars' firmware to the latest versions.
If your binoculars do not turn on after charging, please contact our Support Team for assistance.
For more information on how to operate your binoculars, please refer to the ENVISION technical guides and to our YouTube Channel.
1. Turn on your ENVISION binoculars
Press and hold the ON/OFF button to turn on your binoculars.
A short press of the same button lets you activate or put the internal display into standby mode without fully turning off the binoculars.
2. Open the UNISTELLAR app
Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone.
Launch the UNISTELLAR app. The Planetarium home screen will appear.
3. Connect your binoculars to the app
From the home screen, tap the + button in the lower-left corner.
You can also access the connection menu through Settings , located in the upper-left corner.
The app will automatically search for nearby UNISTELLAR devices that are powered on and available to connect.
When your ENVISION binoculars appear in the list, tap on them to establish the connection.
Note: The connection is established directly through the UNISTELLAR app, not through your smartphone's Bluetooth settings.
4. Complete the connection
Once the connection is established, a message saying "All set!" will appear.
Tap "Start Exploring" to continue.
A series of introductory screens will then guide you through the main features of your ENVISION binoculars and help you get started.
5. Start exploring
Once your binoculars are connected, the + button on the home screen will be replaced by the Instrument button
.
You can now navigate the Planetarium and select terrestrial or celestial objects you would like to observe.
ENVISION binoculars allow you to discover nearby points of interest, identify celestial objects, and use visual guidance to locate them in the sky.
What should I do if my binoculars won't connect?
If your binoculars do not appear in the app:
- Make sure your binoculars are turned on.
- Check that Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone.
- Completely close the UNISTELLAR app and reopen it.
- If necessary, turn off your binoculars by pressing and holding the ON/OFF button, then turn them back on.
- Try connecting again through the app.
