Explore the Sky with Guided Tours on your ENVISION Binoculars

Guided tours offer a themed observing route to guide you through the evening.

You can read them as articles without connecting your binoculars, or follow them with your instrument. Augmented reality guidance helps you find objects in the sky, while audio narration accompanies your discoveries.

1. Choose a tour

From the planetarium, swipe up to open the Explore page.

At the top right, select Binoculars to display tours suited to your instrument. When you connect your binoculars, the selection adjusts automatically.

Choose a tour that interests you. The tour's beginning usually indicates the recommended season and hemisphere for observing it.

2. Download the tour to observe without Internet access

If your phone will not have Internet access while observing, you can download the tour in advance, including its audio narration.

While you still have an Internet connection, open the tour and tap the download button at the top right. Wait for the download to finish before heading out to observe.

3. Start the tour

Connect your binoculars, then open the tour and tap Start. The app sends the route to the binoculars, and the player appears at the bottom of the screen.

If the app offers a 360° calibration, follow the instructions to complete it before starting the tour.

After the introduction, press Next on your binoculars to begin. It is the first button on the left side of the binoculars.

4. Find objects in the sky

Look through the binoculars and follow the augmented reality guidance to find the current object.

While observing, you can listen to its narration or read the corresponding text, highlighted in the tour on your phone.

5. Move to the next object

You move on at your own pace when you have finished observing.

• From the tour on your phone, tap the right arrow on the player at the bottom of the screen.
• On the binoculars, press Next, the first button on the left side.

The binoculars select the new object. The augmented reality guidance, text, and narration follow your progress.

6. Control audio narration

Narration starts automatically for each object when audio is enabled.

In the player at the bottom of the screen:

• Tap pause to pause the narration, then play to resume it.
• Tap the sound button to mute or unmute the tour’s audio.

You can listen to the explanations while keeping your eyes on the sky through your binoculars.
