How Do I Control My UNISTELLAR Telescope? Is the Internet Needed to Operate It?

Follow

The UNISTELLAR App can be downloaded to a smartphone or tablet and enables wireless control of your telescopes via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Up to 10 devices can be connected to one unit at the same time (1 operator and 9 observers).

Our telescopes need to be connected to another device (smartphone or tablet) to be controlled, but an Internet connection is not mandatory for that device. It's only needed to download our application, which functions with a smartphone or tablet.

To benefit from the full UNISTELLAR experience (observation sharing, notifications...), we recommend you get a data connection, but if you can’t find one where you want to observe, you’ll still be able to use your telescope.

Your UNISTELLAR telescope creates its own Wi-Fi network; it doesn't use your home Wi-Fi. You don't need an internet connection to operate your telescope, so don't be afraid of the message "no Internet connection" in your phone settings.
