Tips and Tricks:
You can also find this object in the app catalog under the C/2022 E3 (ZT) name, all you have to do is type 2022 in the search bar:
In the settings, you should select "countryside" in the visible sky area to see comets in the catalog without unselecting "visible sky."
Please don't keep Enhanced Vision on the comet for a long time, as your object of interest will be too elongated:
2-3 minutes should be fine if you wish to see the tail:
However, if a comet is really close, selecting from the in-app menu isn’t great. As mentioned in our tutorial (above), instead, go to the website, click “comets”, then “ephemeris”. Select E3, then your location and the time. Click the little icon on the right on the coordinates nearest the time, and it’ll populate the app for you. Then, you can either do science captures or switch over to Enhanced Vision.
Enjoy your observations!
